The Ceylon otter, the giant porcupine, the Rock squirrel, two kinds of Monkeys are the most frequent visitors. Several types of water birds and over one hundred varieties of beautiful colored birds keep the tree tops alive throughout the day. The Dambullu Oya is the home to several interesting and indigenous types of Sri Lankan fresh water fish.
Several natural bays which are shallow are wonderful locations for a cool dip in the waters of the clear Dambullu Oya.
