In keeping with the Family Park concept of preserving nature while complementing the best of it, Maskeli Oya Family Park is set in a typical hill country surrounding. The four hectares of land has been well preserved with a portion of the land being cultivated with tea and the balance preserved as a natural forest. The natural springs at the top end of the land flow through a water garden into a pool and then to a small private lake and into the bordering Oya.

"Nisansala" or silence as its earlier European owner called it, was re-modeled to give guests a taste of what it was like to live in typical conditions when the British planter was "Raj" of Sri Lanka 's Hill country. Built with the extravagance of a wood fireplace, hot spa with swimming pool, lake and vegetable garden, the main building is surrounded with a lush tea garden.

The buildings are all of rock which is a material in abundance and consist of seven double-rooms and a 'Honeymooners' suite. The common area consists of a community hot water spa, dining-room and a large sitting area with a traditional wood fire.

Visitors will be treated to fusion foods from the era of the British Raj.
